Newsome Ward Community First are a panel of local people who have some funding available to support community groups and projects in our area, and to help new projects to get started. Groups can apply for between £250 and £2,500. The funding is available between now and March 2015.

The Trust, based at Armitage Bridge, offers small one off grants, small regular grant and in-kind support. Help is available for projects which help people to overcome disadvantage or advance education. The Trust supports small local groups without significant income that are run by keen and active volunteers.

St. John's Church, NewsomeNewsome LEP

Newsome LEP (Local Ecumenical Partnership) are a group of churches in the Newsome area. Groups can apply for small grants of up to £300 to support local projects.

One Community is a non-profit organisation that provides independent funding for voluntary community action throughout Kirklees. There are specific funds available, based on place or type of group, and opportunities for businesses and others to give.

Locala Community Partnerships CIC has launched a Community Fund to support projects in Kirklees with a health, wellbeing, community or environmental focus. A maximum of £10,000 a year will be donated to successful applicants in grants of £100 to £1,000.
